Paul Chandler
Paul is a founding Director of Usability by Design, and a leading proponent of usability in the UK.
Paul
started his career in interface design with a Chicago based software company.
Appreciating the benefits good usability can bring to a products interface, Paul's early positions involved championing the interface design and usability of large-scale, high-volume client/server systems for both internal applications as well as commercial software packages.
With the arrival of new technologies (internet, WAP, iTV) Paul has adapted and acquired new skills and experience to keep him at the fore front of usability, accessibility and interface design.
In 1997 along with Gary Bunker and Graham Uff, Paul started Usability by Design. Since that time he has been actively involved in bringing the benefits of usability to both large and small organisations in Europe and the US.
Paul is a member of the Usability Professionals Association and The British Human-Computer Interaction Group (a specialise group of the British Computer Society).
Recent projects he has worked on include British Airways, Carphone Warehouse, the I&DeA, John Lewis Direct, O2, Waitrose, Cyborg systems Inc and Reed Business Information (for multiple sites).
