Our core belief is that usability and Human Computer Interaction (HCI) can easily be integrated into any development methodology and any organisation. That means that you don't have to change the way you work - we will work right along with you.
Methodology
Our Interface Experience Methodology© is based on Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) best practice and research, and years of experience in the field. It allows us to tailor our approach to your organisation and your environment, and to quickly identify usability flaws. Configurable to different platforms and interface types, our methodology allows us to integrate seamlessly with your own development teams.
Project management
At the start of every project we will assign a primary contact consultant - most often, this consultant will remain your primary contact on all future projects. Your primary contact consultant will manage all the usability tasks taking place on the project, and will liaise with your team, other suppliers and all further Usability by Design consultants as necessary. If you have a project management process in place, then they will work within that, providing feedback on tasks completed and tasks outstanding on a regular basis. They will remain in direct contact with you throughout the project, as often as you require.
This simplifies your management of the project, and ensures that you always know the people you are dealing with - you'll never find yourself suddenly 'shunted off' to more junior consultants.
Feedback
At the initial project kick-off meeting, you will be asked how often you require feedback from us. This may be daily, weeky, monthly or on any other basis that suits you, and can be either formal (as a report) or informal. You also have control over the level of feedback you receive, whether it's high level only or a complete breakdown of tasks and task steps.
