assistant
This is a software device for assisting the user to perform a task, for example by offering the user a number of simple steps with a reduced number of options at each point. This is useful in helping users to perform complex tasks that they are not able to complete on their own, or do not regularly attempt. Assistants can also be known as Wizards.
