Back to all services - Back to Accessibility Services - Back to training

Our Awareness training is the perfect platform for those seeking to answer the important issues surrounding accessibility - what is it, why is it important, what does it mean to us. It seeks to engage the audience by using live demonstrations, case studies and practical illustrations.

What you will learn

During the half-day you will learn:

  • The Definition of accessibility and disability
  • The Legal Implications of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 for your organisation
  • Using the Web - How people with impairments use the Web (blind people for example) and the technology they employ to help them do so
  • The Benefits of accessible design - legal, financial and otherwise
  • The Standards to which your Website(s) needs to comply and current national campaigns for web accessibility
  • Assessing your site - How to go about assessing the current Web Accessibility status of your Website(s) and complying with the legislation
  • Creating a Corporate Accessibility Policy. How to ensure that a site remains accessible going forward given the inevitable addition of content and change of personnel
